FAQ by Category
Section titled “FAQ by Category”Hardware, Power & Wiring Updating
Section titled “Hardware, Power & Wiring ”What is the main difference between the UC-1.1 and the GbE-2?
The UC-1.1 is a USB 3.1 Gen1 connection model, while the GbE-2 is a Gigabit Ethernet (LAN) connection model. Both models are equipped with INFINICAM’s proprietary fixed-length compression processor, enabling ultra-low-latency, real-time image transmission.
Does the GbE-2 support PoE (Power over Ethernet) power supply?
The camera does not support it directly, but you can use a PoE splitter to separate the data and power lines just before the camera, which allows you to use a PoE cable as well.
What is the rated voltage for the external trigger (SYNC IN / OUT)?

SDK & Software Development Updating
Section titled “SDK & Software Development ”Do you support languages other than Python (such as C++ / C# / LabVIEW)?
We provide a C-language shared library as standard, so it can also be called from C# and LabVIEW.
Can the SDK be used in Linux or macOS environments?

Can the acquired compressed data be saved or transferred as-is, without decoding?

Network, Bandwidth & Configuration Updating
Section titled “Network, Bandwidth & Configuration ”Can multiple GbE-2 units be connected to a single hub/switch and used simultaneously?
Yes, this is possible. However, please note that each GbE-2 unit requires 1 Gbps of bandwidth, so you will need a hub or switch that supports a total bandwidth of 1 Gbps multiplied by the number of units used.
What is the procedure for the initial IP address setup or for changing it?
